Charlie has a varied background in business and manufacturing, including nine years as a business manager at Apple Computer, directing outsourcing projects for Johnson Controls, and managing a manufacturing plant for Morton Salt Company. His experience includes business management, systems installations, business process outsourcing, and corporate real estate. He has worked in both the United States and Europe.
He is currently on the faculty of Boston University in Brussels, specializing in the field of e-commerce. In addition he has several online businesses offering web-based services to small and medium enterprises.
Charlie enjoys working with companies to help them better utilize technology in their business operations. While working at Apple Computer, he was on several major project teams including the construction of the Apple R&D Campus in Cupertino, California, development of a new site in Austin, Texas, and purchase of a data center and manufacturing facility. In addition he managed relations with local government officials and ran a small retail complex at the Apple R&D campus. In addition he managed the operating and capital budget for Apple's real estate and construction. While at Johnson Controls facilities management division he led major business outsourcing bid teams and managed two major systems installations.
Currently Charlie is a Vice-President of the American Club of Brussels and previously served on the Board of Directors and as President of the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society in San Francisco, California.
Charlie has a bachelor's degree with honors in electrical engineer and a master's degree in management specializing in finance and environmental engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a former officer in the US Navy.
